Keyvaun Cobb's fantastic 51Âþ»­ football career ended in November after being named All-State three times as a defensive back, amassing over 3000 yards on offense and accumulating 20+ interceptions and three trips to the NCISAA D1 and DII State Championships. His football career however, is not over as he signed his National Letter of Intent this morning to play football at Wofford College.

On a cool October afternoon, thousands of 51Âþ»­ and Asheville School students, faculty, alumni, and parents were on hand to witness the 92^nd meeting of "The Game." In the first matchup of the now-oldest rivalry in the Carolinas, Asheville School shut out 51Âþ»­ to the tune of 84-0 in 1911. In 2018, the Greenies returned the favor, defeating the Blues, 48-0 in an incredible team performance. 51Âþ»­ came into the game with an 8-1 record and a shot at the D1 NCISAA playoffs on the line, while Asheville School was putting together a great season, coming in at 6-3.

The 51Âþ»­ offense has been putting up historical numbers in 2018, averaging nearly 50 points per game. Yet, it was the 51Âþ»­ defense that led the way on Friday night against a 5-2 Charlotte Latin team.

Friday evening at Rabun Gap was a sight to see. The Greenie offense showed out against the Eagles to the tune of 66-38 road win.

As 51Âþ»­ headed into Fall Break, the Greenies football team had to take care of business against Victory Christian before enjoying a few, much-needed days off.

It was a great day for Greenie Soccer on Tuesday as both the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams left the field victorious.

With a bye week for 51Âþ»­ football, the Greenies find themselves resting after four consecutive weeks of games.

With an injury to All-State running back Sidney Gibbs '19, 51Âþ»­ took some time to get going against visiting Cannon School on Friday night.

For the first time in nearly half a decade, 51Âþ»­ football will face the Cougars of Cannon School. Both teams come into the game having won their first game and lost their second. Cannon School defeated North Raleigh Christian Academy, 38-0, but lost to Mitchell High School, 27-6 in their game last Friday.

Texas is known for having the best high school football in the country. On Saturday, the Greenies welcomed an opponent from the Lone Star State, and for a moment, showed Texas what North Carolina football is all about.

51Âþ»­ will get a rare insider's look at the passion of Texas high school football on Saturday afternoon, in what figures to be one of the more intriguing home games to ever be played on Fayssoux Field.

In their first game of the year, the Greenies travelled to Tennessee to play the Christian Academy of Knoxville in a rematch of last year's season opener. The Greenies came away with a victory in that game, 28-11.

Last season, 51Âþ»­ football was selected to compete in the NCISAA Division 1 State Playoffs after heading in with an 8-1 record. Though the Greenies fell to the eventual State Champion, Charlotte Christian, it was just another step in the overall improvement of the program.

51Âþ»­ is proud to announce Tommy Langford as our new Head Football Coach. Langford came to 51Âþ»­ at the beginning of the 2017 season. He has assisted with the Quarterbacks and Linebackers and served as the Special Teams Coordinator and Strength and Conditioning coach.

51Âþ»­ has a Super Bowl connection. And it's not just as obvious as the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles also wear green.

Sidney Gibb's garnered another honor for his fanastic season, receiving First Team All-WNC to go along with being named All-CAA and NCISAA All-State.
