Swimming Places Seventh in State Meet

Before leaving for home, 51Âþ»­ swimmers and coaches posed for photos in front of the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

There was no shortage of smiles after the way the team performed at Monday's NCISAA Division I state meet.

The Greenies placed seventh overall and every individual swam at least one personal record.

Davidson recruit Frank Howden ’22 was the state runner-up in the 100-yard backstroke (58.09 seconds) and sixth in the 200-yard individual medley (1:58.19). Fellow senior Sam Jarrett ’22 also had a pair of top-10 finishes in the 100-yard freestyle (eighth place, 54.85) and 500-yard freestyle (ninth, 4:55.20).
